New England’s Largest Water Park Extends the Operating Calendar and Adds Full Summer of Events
Portsmouth, NH [December 2, 2025] – Winter and the holiday season may be just around the corner but the team at Water Country Water Park is already hard at work gearing up for the summer 2026 season. New England’s Largest Water Park will swing the park gates open on Saturday, June 6 as it welcomes families back with even more days to splash the day away.
With five additional days added to the calendar, Water Country is inviting those from New England and beyond to come down when the sun is blazin’ and the weather gets hot. As a very cool spot, the park will also offer a variety of events throughout the season. Details include:
- Father’s Day Flop – Calling all dads! The annual Father’s Day Flop will take place on Sunday, June 21. The whole family is invited out to cheer on dad as he competes for the red belly badge of honor and ultimate bragging rights.
- Celebrate America – Park-goers are invited to celebrate America’s 250th birthday Water Country style. From June 25 through July 5, Water Country will offer a variety of activities, food and beverage options, and more.
- Kids Fest – It’s a pint-sized party from August 10 through August 16 and it’s all about the kiddos. From bubble dance parties, to meet and greets with Spruce the Moose, there’s entertainment for the young and young at heart all week long.
“Adding more days to our operating calendar is all about giving families extra time to soak up summer with us,” said Kathryn Nedelka, Assistant General Manager at Water Country. “Whether guests are here for their favorite slides, our special events, or a full day of relaxing in the sun, we’re excited to offer even more opportunities to make Water Country part of their summer traditions.”
Fan favorite attractions including Dragon’s Den, Hyperlight, and Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror will also be back for the 2026 season to offer a full summer of thrills on the seacoast. Plus, everyone’s favorite costume character, Spruce the Moose, will be back for more adventure in 2026.
