Water Country Makes a Splash with Kids Fest and End-of-Summer Fun

Weeklong Celebration Features Foam Parties, Mermaids, Bubbles and More as New England's Largest Water Park Closes Out the 2026 Season

Portsmouth, NH [August 10, 2026] – The summer season isn’t over yet at New England’s Largest Water Park, Water Country. There’s still time to splash in 2026 and Water Country is inviting those from New England and beyond to come down when the sun is blazin’ and the weather gets hot. As a very cool spot, the park will also offer a variety of events throughout the remainder of the 2026 season.

The park’s beloved Kids Fest event series is back for another weeklong celebration in August. The young and young at heart are encouraged to join in on the pint-sized party from Monday, August 10 through Sunday, August 16. From bubbles and giant foam parties, to meeting mermaids in Bubble Bay, there’s entertainment for guests of all ages to enjoy throughout the week.

"As summer winds down, Kids Fest is the perfect opportunity for families to make the most of every sunny day," said Matt Hehl, general manager of Water Country. "We're excited to fill the park with extra entertainment, interactive experiences and plenty of ways for kids to laugh, play and cool off while enjoying everything Water Country has to offer."

The Water Country season continues now through Labor Day Weekend. There’s still plenty of time left for parkgoers to float down the Adventure River, cool off in the Giant Wave Pool, and face the dragon in Dragon’s Den. The park is currently open daily through Sunday, August 23. Then will be open Saturdays and Sundays, plus Monday, September 7, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Guests looking to visit for the rest of the summer can Pay for a Day, Get ‘26 and ‘27 Free with a 2027 Season Pass. Those interested in taking advantage of the pass sale can save up to $50 now when they purchase a Gold Season Passes online which includes unlimited admission all summer long or take advantage of the park’s payment plan with passes starting under $8 per month.
